I went to Stump Pond in Smithfield R.I. early in the morning, bald eagles where my desired subject for that day. I was thrilled to see a blanket of fog covering the water, it added more drama to the image. I composed the scene in camera, took a few shots and off I went seeking bald eagles.

When I saw the sun at first light and the sky littered with small clouds I thought to me self this was going to be a fantastic sunrise. As you can see it did not disappoint.
